When the Saints Go To Worship
Verse 3 of Psalm 100 gives all of the rationale that we need for worship including the statement that “we are His people and the sheep of His pasture…” Worship is the profound expression of a people who are aware of why they exist. We are God’s possession. We are redeemed by Him. Our survival is dependent upon Him.
To God, our position has changed from being aliens to Him, to being family. In Christ, our nature has changed from rebellion and estrangement from God to new creatures in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17). All illness and dysfunction are healed by Him and we are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us according to Isaiah53:5 and Philippians 4:13.
When we worship, we celebrate His selection of us. In John 15:16 Jesus said, “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you…” We celebrate His presence with us as we struggle with daily issues. 2 Corinthians 4:9 reminds us saying, “We are persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed… When we worship, it is not always because the moment feels good, but because we know that “All things WORK TOGETHER for good to them that love God….” Romans 8:28. And so, WHEN THE SAINTS GO TO WORSHIP we offer both THANKFUL AND SACRIFICIAL praise, as we verbalize our intimate knowledge of Him and confidence in Him.
Worship Him Freely! Worship Him Today!
Blessings!
